Mary Forstner, Co-Owner and Lead Design Consultant
Floral Artist Mary Forster provides the creative direction for nearly all of Enchanted Florals’ designs. Her passion for flowers grew out of the inspiration she received as a child in her mother’s beautiful gardens on her family’s farm. After completing her bachelor’s degree in art education with design emphasis from Marian University in Fond du Lac, Mary honed her floral skills with notable designer Michael Gaffney and others at the Milwaukee School of Floral Design, where she earned her floral design certificate. She teaches art and is currently working to complete her master’s in floral design with the Wisconsin Upper Michigan Florist’s Association (www.wumfa.org). For Mary, art and floral design go hand in hand. “I believe that my art background helps me with designing floral arrangements because I use the elements and principles of art in every floral sculpture,” she shares.
Craig Forstner, Co-Owner
While Mary and the rest of her design team are busy creating floral designs, Craig makes sure all other aspects of the shop are running smoothly, managing weekly shipments of fresh flowers, tending the shop and making deliveries with a smile seven days a week. A retired iron worker and artist in his own right, Craig designs and builds decorative pieces in his spare time, and his stunning arbors are available to brides to add an elegant touch (draped with fragrant flowers of course) for their outdoor weddings.
Dianne Stellpflug, Floral Designer
For over 18 years, Dianne Stellpflug managed the floral department of the business she owned with her husband Mark. She has always been a “crafty” person, so working with and designing floral arrangements came very easy to her. She learned her craft on the job, with some formal training from wholesale floral suppliers she worked with. At the end of 2012 the couple sold their business after 25 years of ownership. Dianne says that although she was happy to leave the stress of day to day store operations behind, “I did miss the floral department, working with flowers, and customers.” Dianne joined the Enchanted Florals design team in August 2013, and is thrilled to be doing what she loves. Dianne has many years of experience crafting wedding designs with both fresh and silk flowers, as well as beautiful floral designs for anniversaries, birthdays and funerals. She has created many custom silk wreaths and arrangements.
Kathy Uelmen, Assistant Floral Designer and Manager
Kathy's responsibilities at Enchanted Florals include floral design and merchandising. She grew up on a farm in south Eden, where she spent many of her summer days in her grandmother's garden. She fell in love with all of their different textures, fragrances and colors, and learned to combine colors, styles and shapes into beautiful bouquets. Kathy's artistic ability is complimented by her business savvy - she holds a master's degree in business from Marquette University. She feels very fortunate to have the opportunity to work with Mary Forstner and the other Enchanted Florals designers. "Transforming the beauty of nature into a work of art for a client is truly rewarding," Kathy shares. "I love bringing a smile to someone's face through the gift of flowers."
Jennifer Forstner and Kelly Forstner, Design Assistants
At Enchanted Florals, taking good care of customers is very much a family affair. Craig and Mary’s daughter, Jennifer, and their daughter-in-law Kelly, each with design experience and an artistic eye, lend a hand during busy times to help make sure that customers receive the friendly, prompt service that they have come to expect from Enchanted Florals. Kelly and Jennifer previously co-owned an event planning and decorating company, and they often assist in the set-up and decorating for corporate events and larger weddings.
